During this presentation we will be talking about: If a decision is made to refuse you a Tier 4 visa, you are advised to take the following course of action: Email the refusal to Salford-CAS@salford.ac.uk straight away Send a copy of all of the supporting documents you submitted with your Tier 4 application in the email Provide us with written permission in the body of your email for us to request the transcript of the interview from UKVI if your visa was refused on the grounds of “credibility” Back Next

Supporting Documents As part of the visa application process, you are required to provide documents that will support your application: Evidence of the funds that you will use during your stay in the United Kingdom, i.e. bank statements, sponsor letters, educational loan documents A valid TB certificate (where required) A valid ATAS certificate (where required) Your academic and English language qualifications – these will be indicated on your CAS All documents should be the original documents and, where required, a notarised translation should be included. Credibility Interview As part of the visa application process, you be asked to attend an interview where you will be asked a series of questions about your course of study and your long term goals. This is to ensure you are entering the UK for genuine reasons. You should already know why you wish to study at the University of Salford but for many students it may be the first time you have been interviewed by a government official and for some, this can be a nervous experience. The best way to combat your nerves is to ensure you prepare for your interview beforehand. Back Next

Registration and Collecting your Biometric Residency Permit (BRP) For most applications made outside of the UK, you will be asked where you wish to collect your Biometric Residency Permit (BRP) from. You can nominate a local Post Office branch or the University of Salford. If you wish to collect your BRP from the University you will need to select the “Alternative Location” option on the online visa application and enter the following code: 2HE637 If you are collecting your BRP from the University, you will not be able to collect it unless you have completed your registration in full. Dependent BRPs must be delivered to the Post Office – these cannot be delivered to the University. Back Next

4. Registration and Collecting your Biometric Residency Permit (BRP) When you arrive at the University you will be asked to attend a Registration event. You will receive more details regarding how to book a specific timeslot for registration from around the middle of August.
