Palm sunday In Palm Sunday we Italian,for tradition,in the church we make to bless some twings of palm or olive tree.It is made so that they can be brought in procession and then preserved in the houses so that to recall to the mind of the believers the victory of Christ celebrated with the same procession.The smallest fill the twigs with chocolates and candies of every type.
Maundy Thursday GOOD FRIDAY The Maundy Thurday is devoted to faith and for that,people go to the church to pray. GOOD FRIDAY In Good Friday is tradition to listen the Holy mess in which is present the rite of VIA CRUCIS(at times with living character).
Sunday of resurrection Holy saturday The night of Holy Saturday is celebrated the Easter vigil. Sunday of resurrection The Easter Sunday come back the air of joy and happiness.The Sunday,after the long period of Lent,we eat Easter lamba and Easter eggs.
My family’s traditions In my family,for good tradition of Campania,we eat a lot in Eastertime.My grandmother every year cook:-’’CASATIELLO’’a pot pie with cheese,sausage and boiled eggs. -’’PASTIERA’’a cake of shortbread stuffed whit ricotta, boiled wheat, eggs, spice and candied. - ‘’LAMB ROAST’’ and it can’t be missing ‘’EASTER EGGS’’,sometimes made by my grandmother!
EASTER MONDAY Easter Monday is the day prefered by groups of friend of all ages because they shall meet to do pic-nic and barbecue.Usually,we organize these reunions in mountains,at sea or in some very great house because when we get togheter…we are really a lot!
