Presentation transcript:

The Earth

Global warming is the rise of earth's temperature due to a build up of greenhouse gases. The gases like carbon dioxide and methane effect the atmosphere caused by capture of heat. This issue is one of the problems that lead to climate change.

For example, ice in the polar regions are melting faster and causing an imbalance of fresh water in the ocean. Rainfall is also influenced by climate change. Too much or too little rain in certain areas.

Ways to be more sympathetic towards the earth. COMMUNITY Plant a native tree or shrubs and plants. Use a lift club or public transport rather than traveling alone in a car. This reduces your carbon footprint. Make your street clean by cleaning water drains “wear gloves”

HOUSE Save electricity by switching off the geysers and other appliances throughout the day. Use energy efficient light bulbs in all rooms and lamps. Save water by showering instead of bathing. Do not let the water run while you brush your teeth.

SCHOOL Take healthy lunch to school in a reusable container instead of plastic wrap or plastic bags. Collect and decorate used plastic shopping bags with earth awareness and suggestions on them and take them to the shops to use. Start with a garbage awareness campaign. Monitor how much waste is collected on a day and see how much can be recycled.

Earth Day Earth Day is widely celebrated on 22 April to raise awareness and promote appreciation for the Earth's conservation issues.
