NHS Solihull CCG Winter Campaign Update: Oct- Dec 2016 In the summer of 2016 a plan was developed around a winter plan and urgent care in targeting flu, pharmacy and 111 to reduce the impact on A&E over winter. Initially the plan looked to be progressing, but funding was then not available, this resulted in £1,000 being allocated in November to a Facebook marketing campaign and the CCG electing to use its 2 SLA video projects to cover filming of winter messaging. Winter – Oct to Dec Facebook marketing launched and included promotion around the new 0-5 book, signposting parents to the correct services. Flu vaccine information was promoted, along with pharmacy pre-Christmas and video promotion. Press coverage Several press releases have been issued, with a particular focus on self-care, keeping warm over winter, those with long term conditions including asthma and looking out for the lonely over the Christmas period. Video We filmed in the Touchwood shopping centre as a vox pop as part of the Stay Well This Winter campaign. Innovations Healthy Elfy animation was embedded on the website with a different message every day through January Dee’s A&E fail tale was shared on the website and on social media. Web The main banner pointed to the Stay Well page where all the campaign information was located.
