EGIS 1 Overview Section Speaker LEDs Smart buttons H= panic The EGIS Man-Down system is a multifunctional Man-Down system which is Australian designed, developed and manufactured. The unit has been designed to meet tough Australian conditions. The system is designed to operate on mobile phone networks for communications and requires a micro SIM card. This EGIS unit can perform the following functions:- Report tilt alarm Report “no movement” alarm 4 programmable duress buttons (SOS, P1, P2, P3) Dial a number and send SMS multiple numbers Ability to report GPS coordinates Each Smart Button can be set up for:- Number of key presses Tone, upon press Vibration type, upon press Send out to 9 SMS numbers Call a voice number Send an IP message via GPRS and/or SMS, to a dedicated server for reporting of GPS location and status. EGIS 2 Overview Section Placing a unit on charge: Insert rear plug into charge socket at bottom of Egis. When you do this a double tone and vibration will be sounded. Taking a unit off charge: Remove plug out of the bottom of Egis. When you do this a double tone and vibration will be sounded indicating off charge. Wearing and using the EGIS device: The Egis unit should be worn at all times as it is for your own Protection. The belt is the best location or around the waist.

EGIS 3 Overview Section Front LEDs Charging Indication There are two rows of LED indicators on the Egis unit. The top 3 LEDs indicate the following – 3G signal Battery strength GPS strength The lower bar indicates the strength from low to high When you place Egis on charge the battery LED will flash as well as the bottom indication row indicating how far it is in the charging cycle. Once fully charged, all bottom LEDs will flash and your battery LED will be on solid. When a low battery is detected, EGIS will indicate this by a double tone and will flash the battery indicator 3 times. In the event no SIM card is present, the following LEDs will be on - the LED and the two outer signal LEDs, 1 & 5. If the unit is unable to register on the 3G network, all 5 signal LEDs will be flashing when on the position. EGIS X 4 Overview Section Testing your Egis (3 tests to do before going out) The Egis Product should be tested on a regular basis to ensure that it is working correctly. The manufacturer recommends that prior to use of the product, the following tests should be carried out by the customer and their staff.  When the cancel button is pressed X times the following LED’s will illuminate: 3G signal test - press cancel button x 1 Arrow 1 / indicates mobile network Arrow 2 / indicates mobile signal strength from 1 to 5 (steady) (i.e. low to high)   Example: shown 3 bars of signal = medium Battery test - press cancel button x 2 Arrow 1 / indicates battery icon Arrow 2 / indicates battery level 1 to 5 (steady) (ie low to high) Example: shown 5 bars of battery strength = Full GPS SAT Test - press cancel button x 3 Arrow 1 / indicates GPS icon Arrow 2 / indicates GPS Level 1 to 5 (steady) (ie low to high) Example: Shows no GPS signal strength = None Basic LED indication using the cancel button X Note: If you have no signal or they are all flashing, you have an issue. Try changing location & re test. Note: If you have low or no bars, place unit back on charge. Note: If you have low or no bars, go outside for at least 4 minutes and then re test outside until you get full signal.

EGIS 5 Overview Section TESTING Preface : The Mandown function works by tilting the device in any direction on a programmable angle ie; 60 degrees. The first 30 seconds (time programmable) allows you to stand the device back up with no intervention (the device will sound and vibrate). The next 30 seconds will require you to stand the device back up and press cancel twice. Testing -Mandown Testing Take unit off charge (wont work on charge). Tilt the device for more than 60 degrees. For 5 seconds, the device will sound a beep. Now stand it back up and beeping will stop. Now tilt it again - the device will start to beep and vibrate. After 30 seconds the beeping will get faster indicating you are now in a mode whereby you must stand it back up and press cancel twice to clear this. (Hit cancel twice). Final Alarm Test . Tilt and leave tilted. After 50 seconds the unit will have sent and alarm and it will be sounding every 30 seconds. Stand up - hit cancel twice and check with monitoring centre for an alarm.

EGIS 6 Overview Section TESTING Preface : The Panic Function works by pressing the H button twice in quick succession . Testing - Panic Press the H button twice quickly – “bang bang”. The unit shall vibrate and single tone will be heard. It is now in panic mode and an alarm has been sent. Automatic – outgoing call The Egis Device will place a voice call to the control Upon a panic or man down alarm to see if you are OK. Call back- If an incoming call is activated, ring and vibration will be emitted from the device. After 2 rings a double tone will be emitted and this means the unit has Auto Answered. Place the unit to your ear and conduct a conversation. To hang up the call - press the cancel button twice.
