Emotion in Photography

What is the subject matter in this photo. Where is this photo taken What is the subject matter in this photo? Where is this photo taken? What story is this photo telling?

The subject matter is the swing The subject matter is the swing. The photo is taken in a park during spring or summer. The story the photo is telling is about childhood.

Technique in Photography

What areas are the highlights. What areas are the shadows What areas are the highlights? What areas are the shadows? What part of the subject will stand out the most? Remember your answers

Think Exposure Triangle: Iso, Shutter Speed, and Aperture If you change your camera settings then a very basic subject can become much more appealing!

Activity: 1/2 of the class walk around the school with Mrs. Martin Objective: Look for how natural light creates reflections, creates different shadows, and can make a space more elegant. Look for how artificial light creates emphasis, creates different shadows and makes a space have more meaning.
