Minimum Marks for Components of Assessment In order to achieve a pass in a module, it is necessary to receive a minimum of 20% (grade point 3 standard) in each component of assessment of that module. Achieving < 20% in any component of assessment will result in a fail grade point being recorded. This obviously means that it is important to ensure that you make a good attempt at every assessment for a module. You will not be able to omit an assessment or do very little towards an assessment in the hope that your aggregate mark will give you a pass in the module.
