Summary Main smurfs are Papa, Gutsy, Brainy, Clumsy, Smurfette, and Grouchy Smurf. They live in a peaceful forest. The village was invisible. They live in little mushrooms. They try to avoid Gargamel and Azreal (the cat). They can’t live without smurf berries.

Summary cont. The blue moon festival was that night. Clumsy was late for the singing tryouts. The other smurfs would not let him in for the tryouts. So Clumsy wanted some smurf roots for mud packs. Papa said do not pick any smurf roots but Clumsy did it anyway. Gargamel chased Clumsy to the invisible village.

Summary cont. The smurfs panicked and Clumsy ran the wrong way from the other smurfs. The others saw him and chased him. Clumsy got sucked into a portal that goes to New York. Clumsy falls in a box owned by Patrick W. Patrick freaks out but later they made friends. The smurfs need a star gazer to get back to there village.

Summary cont. They finally find a star gazer. They need a spell book but Gargamel captures Papa. They fight Gargamel at Belvedere Castle and the smurfs win. They finally get to go back to their village.

Why I read the book. I read this book because I watched the movie and the cartoon show on TV. I like the smurfs because they are funny. Also they say “Oh Brainy.”

Why others should read this. Others should read this because the book is hilarious. Also anyone should love this book. In the middle shows pictures from the movie. If you would like to read this book you might be able to find it at Deu’s in the WES library or Barnes and Noble.
