Searching for journal articles Use the simple/basic search box to search for journal articles

You can restrict your results to peer-reviewed articles easily

And see immediately if full-text is available Find Full Text shows you where the whole article is

For full-text select GO NB sometimes database options are given, it doesn’t matter which you select

Then the PDF link

Advanced search options are also available Here you may limit your search to within article titles or for a particular author

Going straight to a particular database Select Find a Resource from the homepage

And select the database you have in mind from the A-Z list Then click on the database name to access

Finding resources for other types of content (not just journal articles) Click on the drop-down arrow next to Type, select a group then click on Find databases for a list of the databases within that content group

Finding databases grouped by subject Select Subject Favourites from Category then choose a subject from the Sub-category drop-down menu. Don’t forget to click on Find databases for a list of the databases within that subject group

Tracking down journals Click on Find a journal

If you have a journal in mind enter the title details in the search box and click on Go NB It may not matter if you don’t know the exact title, enter as much as you can

Click on the title of the journal you want to look at

Then select Go next to the database NB It doesn’t matter which one if several are listed, but one with access to the most issues might be best

From the journal record you can either search for a subject within that publication or browse issues

Looking for a specific journal article Select Find a journal Then Article Linker
