Brief: Provide external area for entertaining: Design to be bold, strong and simple. Doors open through 180 degrees, patio laid to same level with falls away from house. Electronically operated canopy does not impinge on doors

Sun room has 2 Velux windows – remotely controlled, and close automatically when it rains. Original design had 5 Velux windows . Builder advised that this would result in too much solar heating. Design included wood-burning stove, under-floor heating and external lighting to facilitate winter use. ( Snow arrived day after builders left!) Join between the old floor tiles and the new is indistinguishable
