Vegetation The mixed wood forest covers 76% of the Atlantic maritime. Acadian forest covers 44% of the Ecozone. Mix of coniferous and deciduous trees. Boreal is mostly spruces and firs. The Great lakes is mostly made of eastern white pine, red pine, yellow birch, and eastern hemlock.
