DOD P2 Watershed Advisory Board Value of Clean Water Decreasing Quantity and Quality Increasing Demand and Competition Primary Environmental Issue of Concern in the Southeastern U.S. May Impact Military Readiness

DOD P2 Watershed Advisory Board Purpose of the Project To establish and provide administrative and analytical support to an Expert Board that will identify and address critical water resource policy and technical issues at military installations in the southeast. “Environmental Compliance Through Pollution Prevention”

DOD P2 Watershed Advisory Board WAB Objectives 1. Assess current water resource challenges facing military bases in Region 4 (e.g., stormwater, TMDLs, drinking water, etc.). 2. Identify applicable P2 solutions and leverage resources to address water resource issues identified above (e.g., Watershed Assessment Protocol, BMPs, etc). 3. Promote understanding and successful implementation of P2 tools and techniques (e.g., training, regulatory and technical assistance, presentations, publications, etc.).
