Our Daily Schedule 8:30 – 9:00 – Daily Warm Ups 9:00 – 11:00 - Language Arts Block (this includes spelling, grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing) 11:00 – 11:20 – Recess 11:20 – 12:30 – Math 12:30 – 1:20 – Lunch 1:20 – 1:45 – A.R./Library time/Classwork 1:45 – 2:35 – Ancient Civilizations or Science 2:35 – 2:45 Pack up and Stack Chairs 2:45 – 3:15 – P.E. Band/Choir/Orchestra Tuesday: 9:30-10:15 Thursday: 2:30-3:15

Responsibility A lot of responsibility will be placed on your child this year. They must write their homework correctly every day in their planner and come to school with it completed first thing in the morning. They are responsible for making up any work due for being absent and for taking home and bringing back any notes or letters sent home. Please check their binder and/or backpack every night for these items. Progress Reports / Report Cards Progress reports will be sent home every 6 weeks. Report cards will be sent home every 9 weeks. Your student’s grades will be available to you through Parent Connect. This is an on-line program that enables you to track your student’s grades on a daily basis as I enter them into the gradebook. You can access this through the district’s website.. October 27th is parent conference day, but parent conferences will be held during the last three weeks of October before school, lunch, and after school on Wednesdays.

Sports Being in an extracurricular activity is a privilege. In order to stay in this, your child must keep up their grades. Like Alta Sierra and Buchanan, they should maintain a 2.00 in order to participate in an sports. If I see they are not, they could be pulled out of a sport for awhile until they raise their grades.
