What vocabulary do you want the children practising? How could this link to practise of number bonds? When ready they can be introduced to vertical format. How can you help Practical/real life opportunities for counting. Letting your children become familiar with coins e.g. when shopping or to use in a pretend shop. Games where children can practise number facts, place value and adding.
