British Council in Pakistan Since its establishment in Pakistan in 1948, British Council has worked consistently to make access to higher education easier for the average Pakistani. Sustainable development and institutional capacity building of the Higher Education Sector in Pakistan have been the primary objectives of these projects. British Council’s programmes have brought thousands of Pakistani students and academics a world-class education in the fields of science, health, environment, engineering and economics. There have been links in the areas of education, health, natural resources, gender, human rights, good governance, economics and management – poverty alleviation, sustainable development and institutional capacity building of the Higher Education Sector in Pakistan have been the primary objectives of these projects.

Difference between Entrepreneurship and Social Entrepreneurship

Global Enterprise Challenge Enterprise Challenges across South Asia since in 2008 - 2013 40 teams have turned their innovative ideas into commercial ventures. The Pakistan team won the regional competition twice in 5 years and twice came second. Engaged 1200 technical institution and trainings delivered to more than 100,000 students across Pakistan The project is still continuing in different forms yearly 1500 are facilitated with VTIs.

Change maker institute Award Project engaged 56 higher education institutions across the country, Created of a team of 54 master trainers in the field of social entrepreneurship, Sensitized over 280 faculty members on the concept of social entrepreneurship Oriented 2000 students directly through trained master trainers on the subject of social entrepreneurship. 250 students have been engaged in designing and implementing social enterprise projects since the initiation of the project reaching out to over 4000 people.
