What is Advanced Placement? Rigorous college-level courses which require an end of course exam Requires a commitment of at least 5 hours per week outside of class along with study sessions leading up to the exam BCHS will offer over 20 AP courses during the 2017-2018 school year

Do students have to earn the full AICE Diploma in order to earn college credits? No. Colleges award credit on a subject–by–subject basis according to grades earned on individual examinations passed.

Dual Enrollment (DE) & Early Admission For Grades 11 & 12 Only Students must meet eligibility requirements (required GPA and entrance test scores) For students aiming for the state university system, DE may be most beneficial On and off-campus options available College-level instruction Grade earned becomes part of permanent college transcript

NAF Academies The National Academy Foundation (NAF) is a leader in the movement to prepare young people for college and career success. Benefits of NAF Students earn industry certification. Students who earn industry certifications have a competitive edge upon graduation and become more marketable in the workplace. Students can receive college credit after obtaining an industry certification through state or local articulation agreements. Students can still take AP and AICE courses. Students earn industry certification. Research indicates students who attain industry certifications earn more money over the course of their careers than those lacking industry recognized certifications. Students can still take AP and AICE courses; these courses fulfill necessary skills required and allow for an opportunity for college credit.
