SESSION 1 – MONDAY 12 APRIL 6:00 – 6:10 Registrations 6:10 – 6:30 Introduction (Graeme Pratt) 6:30 – 7:30 Planning (Danny Sexton) 7:30 – 8:30 Basic First Aid (Danny Low) 8:30 – 8:45 Break 8:45 – 9:45 Role of the Coach (Rick Irwin)

SESSION 2 – ONLINE COMPONENT AFL Auskick e Learning Introduction to Auskick Role of the Coach Conducting a Typical Training Session Teaching Football Skills to Children Conducting and Umpiring a Match 1.5 – 2 hours Complete e Learning and print completion certificate and show to facilitator

SESSION 3 – MONDAY 10 MAY 6:00 – 6:10 Assessment Collection 6:10 – 6:30 Inclusion (Nish Moses) 6:30 – 7:30 Basic Skills (Anton Grbac) 7:30 – 8:30 Minor Games (Paul Schwartz) 8:30 – 8:45 Break 8:45 – 9:45 Evaluation (AFCA Committee)

ASSESSMENT Attend all sessions and have paid for course Please let facilitator know if you have any physical or health complaint before attending practical sessions Complete Police Check if required AFL Coaches Code of Conduct signed by coach, coordinator and presented to RDM Coach to develop a training session Practical coaching component – choose one skill, drill, activity to demonstrate to the group Complete the inclusive coaching worksheet Read article in AFCA Coaches Handbook Level One (p 32-34) and complete questions on p 99 Bring all homework (named and stapled) on final night

ACCREDITATION Upon successful completion of course you receive 4 years Level One accreditation from the AFL Your details are inputted into AFL Coach Database and you will receive coach card around 6 weeks after course Please ensure you have an email address You also receive 4 years Membership to your local AFCA Branch With this you receive local newsletters and are invited to seminars and workshops After 4 years you can go through re-accreditation process which costs $65 for another 4 years
