Identifying effects of pollution in work environments towards health. The Standard of Competency : Describing components of ecosystem and people’s roles of keeping balance of ecosystem Basic Competency : Identifying effects of pollution in work environments towards health.

Objectives : The students are able to identify effects of environment pollutions on health. Dampak Polusi

EFFECTS OF ENVIRONMENTS POLLUTION 26/01/2018 EFFECTS OF ENVIRONMENTS POLLUTION ACID RAINS Acid from atmosphere falls to the earth both in wet and dry condition. Too much acid substances in lakes influences on food chain significantly and the balance of ecosystem. Acid rain influences very much on the growth of plants, animals and humans, because it can damage respiratory system Acid rain can fasten corrosion process to several materials. Dampak Polusi

EFFECTS OF ENVIRONMENTS POLLUTION THE THINNING OF OZON LAYER It can increase the number of ultraviolet radiation to the earh then can cause melanoma, cataract, decreasing of immunity. Ultraviolet can damage sensitive plants so that crops decrease. In sea ecosystem, UV can cut food chain because of damaging plankton. Dampak Polusi

EFFECTS OF ENVIRONMENTS POLLUTION 26/01/2018 EFFECTS OF ENVIRONMENTS POLLUTION GREEN HOUSE EFFECTS Cause by the increase carbon dioxide and other gas in atmosphere. It is due to the combustion of oil, coal and any other organic materials Sunray getting into the earth will go through reflection by clouds and particles as much as 25%, absorbed in the earth’s surface 45% and 5% is reflected back by the earth’s surface.. Green House Effect Dampak Polusi

4. EFFECT OF WATER POLLUTION 26/01/2018 4. EFFECT OF WATER POLLUTION Organic rubbish causes the decreasing of oxygen dissolved. Anorganic rubbish cause sunray blocked & obstructs photosynthesis Detergent and the overuse of fertilizer causes eutrofication. If pesticide waste gets involved in food chain, its concentration will be higher and higher. Dampak Polusi

EFFECT OF WATER POLLUTION Industrial wastes contain “B3 waste” Dangerous metals, suck as mercury from metal industry, plastics, can cause acute damage of kidneys. Mining wastes are usually polluted by sulfate acid and steels and it can cause hard water. Dampak Polusi

5. EFFECTS OF SOIL POLLUTION It can damage primary species in ecosystem It can cause the decrease of crop. Dampak Polusi
