The Challenges

The Effective Student Attitude to Learning Attendance Punctuality Organised & Meet Deadlines Dress for success Role Model Independent Study Communication

The Effective Student

The Qualities Adaptability, flexibility and mobility Energy and enthusiasm Drive and resilience A ‘can do’ attitude Think not why things are as they are but how things can be Self awareness, self confidence Integrity Emotional intelligence Aim HIGH! The eight top qualities of successful young (21-30) employees ‘Association of Graduate Recruitment’

Our Expectations All students study three Level 3 courses (unless completing a GCSE re-sit) All students must wear an ID badge...at all time...at all schools. If this badge is lost or damaged it must be replaced at the cost of £3.00 to the student During the first half term ALL students are expected to remain in school during their study periods. This is for the following reasons... Helps to aid the transition from Y11 to Post 16 study Allows students to make a good start to all lessons (punctuality, attendance, ability to meet deadlines and quality of work) Allows for timetables to settle down in case any changes need to be made Encourages students to ask for help if they need to whilst studying in school Appreciates the time when given back for students to manage themselves During the last week of this half term (w/c 16th October) students will be able to discuss a more flexible timetable with their tutor

Progression from Post 16

Intuitive, independent and comprehensive Students can compare side-by-side every post-16 and post-18 opportunity in the UK. You can rank on lots of factors, like starting salary, distance from home, drop out rate, and weekly study hours. And much more!
