Starter: Guess the answer Q. What is the population of the UK? A. UK’s population is 63 million. Q. How many people moved from abroad to the UK in 2013? A.497,000 people. Q. How many people left the UK to live abroad in 2013? A.321,000 people. Resulting in a net migration of +176,000 people.

Key words for today. Immigration. Moving into a country. Emigration. Moving out of a country. The change in population due to migration. Worked out by looking at the difference in immigrants and emigrants. Net Migration.
