Interrogative Declarative or Sentences

What is a declarative sentence? A declarative sentence states an idea or provides information. A declarative sentence does not give a command, nor does it ask a question. A declarative sentence ends in a period.

Examples of declarative sentences Jenny planted a seed. She gave it water. It sat in the sunshine. The plant began to grow. The leaves grew large. A flower opened.

interrogative sentence? What is an interrogative sentence? An interrogative sentence asks questions. An interrogative typically begins with a question word such as who, what, where, when, why, how, are, is, do, can, will, or would. A interrogative sentence ends in a question mark.

Examples of interrogative sentences Do you know what kind of animal I am? When are we eating lunch? What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
