Why do superheroes wear costumes? To conceal their real identity So people will know they are a superhero The colors are bright so they look appealing to others To show their theme ~ Batman looks like a large bat, operates at night like bats do. Spiderman can shoot webs from his hands, has a spider web pattern on his costume and has other spider like abilities.
