Infringe (vb.) root=fract/fring/frag “in” is an intensifier Fract/fring/frag= to break Definition=to break in terms of something; intrude or break in Laws, rules, rights, etc

excise (vb.) [ek-size] root=cis ex=out of Excising is usually a tax term—to excise goods means to tax them. cis=cut, kill Definition=to cut out of, remove

Dichotomy (n.) root=tom dicho=two Tom=to cut Definition=two evenly cut parts or opposing sides

Compunction (n.) root=punct “com” is a word intensifier Punct=stinging Definition=feeling of regret or remorse Whereas a puncture pierces or stings the body, compunction stings the mind.
