UWLS 6-Step Grant Process: Step 1 - Attend Annual Partners Meeting This meeting is mandatory to be eligible for funding. UWLS 6-Step Grant Process: Step 3 – Online Application (deadline September 30) a. Only one application per FEIN b. Grants range between $10,000 to $50,000 c. Average Grant is between $10,000 to $25,000 d. Grant will fund only up to 75% of program e. Fund only 50% of direct program salaries, but not benefits, taxes, overhead, or building expenses. UWLS 6-Step Grant Process: Step 4 – Committee Review Committee is made up of UWLS staff, board members, and community members. Each application is given a score. The highest scoring applications go to the top of the pile for funding. UWLS 6-Step Grant Process: Step 5 – Board Decision and Notification The Board of Directors meet on the second Thursday of December to vote on the Review Committee’s recommendations. UWLS 6-Step Grant Process: Step 5 – Board Decision and Notification Funded Program agencies will be notified and will receive a Letter of Agreement to sign and return to UWLS by January 5. Failure to return the LOA by Jan 5 will result in a forfeiture of grant. Unfunded Program Partners may schedule an appointment with Dr. Holden to explore other ways UWLS can assist.
