There are three ways to get a degree in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering: BSEE, Electrical Engineering Option Diploma says BSEE, degree is accredited BSEE, Computer Engineering Option BSCpE Diploma says BSCpE, degree is not accredited (YET!) You may follow the degree plan That was in effect when you were admitted to the program (changed your major) as long as you don’t take a year off Adopted any time after your were admitted to the program That agrees with your major – simply fill out a General Petition Form Sign conventions will help. Some Common Questions Which major is the best major? In my opinion, there is no single answer for everyone. I am convinced that the best major for you is the major that you will do well in.

Some Common Questions Which major will I do best in? My premise is that all majors are difficult, to greater or lesser extents. If so, you need to work hard to do well in any major. So, the major that you will do best in, is the one where you are willing to work hard.

So, the key is to find something that you enjoy, that you find interesting. It should be something that gets you excited, enthralled, enthusiastic, enraptured, overwhelmed…
