(Number of gallons of R/O use per wash) x (number of washes per hour) = R/O usage per hour 15 x 20 = 300 gallons per hour usage (# Membranes) x (1.5 gallons) x 60 = R/O production per hour 3 x 1.5 x 60 = 270 gallons per hour production ((R/O Usage per hour - R/O production per hour) x Number of hours continuous use = Holding tank min size (300 – 270) x 8 = 240 gallon holding tank
