6th grade Social studies Mrs. Donna Bokach 6th grade Social studies www.classzone.com has the online textbook activation code is 4779671-20 *some students made accounts already but please double check*

First and Foremost: Now is not the time to “step back” and “see how it goes”!!! Now is when you need to say: “Can I see your Math or Science homework?” “Can I see how your notebooks are organized?” “Can I see how you are using your agenda?” “Let’s look at Powerschool together.” “Let’s see what is on Mrs. Bokach’s website.” “Do you have any tests or quizzes coming up?” Please only step back after your child has settled into Columbia.

The five Themes of Geography Location Place Region Movement Human Environment Interaction Curriculum is based around these themes. We are currently looking at how and why geographers study the world.

World Studies ~ ancient to present Early Civilizations Africa (Egypt) Middle East (Mesopotamia, Israel) Asia (China, India) Europe (Greece) *Emphasis on geography and culture *For course/student proficiencies see online curriculum
