Don’t sit still Physical exercise is not only important for your body’s health – it also helps your brain stay sharp. In general anything that is good for your heart is great for your brain. It doesn’t matter what activity you choose (from walking to climbing) it is great for your body and brain

The brain benefits from exercises

Precious neurochemicals Doing exercises increases production of neurochemicals that promote brain cells repair. Exercises increase blood flow to the brain and stimulate the birth of new neurons.

Our Brain loves Mental exercise Practising sports, playing card and board games and doing crosswords or quizzes improves your memory.

Why exercise? Exercising lengthens attention span. Doing exercises improves the concentration and reduces stress, fear and anxiety.

More benefits of exercise Practising sports boosts decision making skills. Doing exercises has a positive influence on making up your mind. You sleep better and it can be helpful to cure the symptoms of depression and eventually overcome the problems connected with it.

You improve your soft skills Doing sports improves creativity, multi-tasking and planning. Exercising is necessary for better problem solving, planning organising and behaviour.

And even more evidence Practising sports prompts growth of new nerve cells and blood vessels. It has a big influence on the expansion of the brain’s network of blood vessels.
