Global warming is caused by green house gases, which trap in the sun’s infrared rays in the earth’s atmosphere, which in turn heat up the earth’s atmosphere.

OUR PLANET How can we make our planet a better place to live? OUR PLANET EARTH SERVES AS A HABITAT FOR OVER A MILLION PLANT SPECIES AND ANIMALS AS WELL AS HUMANS . THIS PLANET EARTH IS THE 3RD PLANET IN THE SOLAR SYSTEM AND THE MOST HABITABLE OF ALL. AS WE ALL KNOW EARTH IS STRUCTURED IN THE FORM TO PROTECT PLANT AND ANIMAL LIFE BY ITSELF THROUGH THE OZONE LAYER WHICH PREVENTS DIRECT AND HARMFUL SUN RAYS FROM REACHING THE EARTH SURFACE AND MAKE IT SAFE TO LIVE ON. BUT THROUGH THE ACTIVITIES OF MAN THE PLANET IS BEING DESTROYED AND OUR PLANET IS DYING AND NEEDS SAVING. THIS BRINGS US TO A MILLION QUESTION WHAT ARE WE DOING TO DESTROY THIS PLANET AND HOW DO WE MAKE IT A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE ON AND PREVENT THE EXTINTION OF ALL ITS HABITATS.

TROUGH THE ACTIVITIES OF MAN THE PLANET IS BEING DESTROYED WHAT ARE WE DOING, THAT IS DESTROYING THIS PLANET ? WELL MAN IS INDEED THE SOURCE OF ALL EARTHS SLOW DESTRUCTION. YES ! WE CAN MENTION A FEW SUCH AS; 1. INDUSTRIALISATION i.e. MANUFACTURING 2. FARMING ACTIVITIES 3. SETTLEMENTS AND EXPANSIONS OF FACILITIES 4. DEGRADATION AND BUSH BURNING 5. DEFORESTATION AND NOT FORGETING MINING AT LARGE SCALES. AT LARGE ALL THIS AND MANY MORE ARE TAKING PLACE IN MANY UNDER- DEVELOPED AND DEVELOPED OR WEALTHY NATIONS WHICH IS KILLING THE EARTH SLOWLY . THIS ACT IS ALSO FOLLOWED BY GLOBAL WARMING AND THE DEPLETION OF THE OZONE LAYER AS A RESULT OF THESE ACTIVITIES.

OUR PLANET IS DYING AND NEEDS SAVING YES OUR DEAR PLANET IS DYING AND NEEDS SAVING . WHY DO WE SAY THIS? THIS IS BECAUSE THE ACTIVITIES OF MAN WHEN BECOMES EXCESSIVE CAUSES HARM AND MAKES THE ENVIRONMENT UNSAFE FOR LIVING ALSO GLOBALWARMING IS ON THE RISE AS TEMPERATURES ARE RISING RAPIDLY AND CAUSING THE ICE PACK REGION BOTH NORTH AND THE SOUTH POLE CAUSING THE SEA TO EXPAND AND SOON ENOUGH AS WE KNOW THAT THE EARTH IS MADE UP OF 70% WATER AND 30% LAND. THIS PUTS THE LITTLE AMOUNT OF LAND LEFT AT RISK . IF GLOBAL WARMING IS NOT CONTROLED OR STOPPED THE REST OF THE EARTH WOULD BE COVERED WITH WATER CAUSING MANS EXTINTION. ALSO IF THE EFFECT OF AIR POLLUTION ISNT ALSO CHECKED ALONGSIDE EXCESSIVE FUMES FROM CARS AND MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIES ARENT CONTROLED …….. ONLY THE SUN CAN TELL WHAT WOULD HAPPEN TO MANKIND. WHAT CAN WE DO? THAT’S THE QUESTION NOW.

HOW DO WE MAKE IT A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE IN AND PREVENT THE EXTINTION OF ALL ITS HABITATS. WELL THIS COMES TO OUR CLUE OR ANSWER . NOW WE ARE BEING WELL EDUACATED ON THE 3R. WHICH IS REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE.  WE CAN ALL PLAY A PART IN THE PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT BY BEING INTRESTED AND ENGAGED IN THE CONCERNS OF THE PLANET AND ITS ENVIRONMENT . THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (13) THIRTEEN, WHICH IS ABOUT CLIMATE ACTION, (14) FOURTEEN, WHICH ALSO STATES ABOUT LIFE BELOW WATER AND (15) FIFTEEN ALSO STATES ABOUT LIFE ON LAND COINSIDE WITH THIS. WHICH ALS O SEEK TO ADDRESS ISSUES ABOUT OUR PLANT EARTH.

QUESTIONS 1. WHAT IS SUSTAINABLE ENERGY? 2. WHAT ARE THE FORMS OF SUSTAINABLE ENERGY 3. HOW ARE THEY USED 4. ARE THEY EFFECTIVE ENOUGH TO SUSTAIN THE PLANET? 5. WHAT INITIATIVES OR STEPS ARE BEING TAKEN TO THAT EFFECT?
