Program Implementation CD designates a sign-up period (must have one) DOC recommends minimum of 2 weeks CD publicizes sign-up period countywide Newspaper(s), Newsletter, Radio Accepts applications for cost-share Evaluates proposed projects (NRCS) Eligibility Determine practices and cost estimates
Program Implementation CD prioritizes project requests using Ranking Worksheet CD board approves applications CD submits contract(s) to DOC for approval Landowner may not start project until DOC has approved the contract
FY 2018 Program Year Considerations for Conservation Districts: It may be time to consider updating your county ranking worksheets. County NPS plan, Kansas Integrated Water Quality Assessment, WRAPS 9 element plans are all tools that can be used when updating local priorities. These tools can assist the district supervisors in identifying high priority HUC 12 watersheds.
