OUR EXPERIENCE WITH PRELOADED IOL CT LUCIA 601P(Y) REPLACE THIS BOX WITH YOUR ORGANIZATION’S HIGH RESOLUTION LOGO REPLACE THIS BOX WITH YOUR ORGANIZATION’S HIGH RESOLUTION LOGO P. Rozsival, A. Stepanov Dept. Ophthalmology, Charles University, Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic Summary Results UCVA (Decimal) changed from 0.3 ± 0.18 to 0.7 ± 0.15 postop. (p < 0.001). BCVA (Decimal) from 0.58 ± 0.21 to 0.94 ± 0.08 (p < 0.001). Mean refractive sphere changed from – 0.1 ± 2.6 (-6.25 to + 4.0) to +0.45 ± 0.41 (-0.25 to + 1.5) postop. ( p < 0.763) Mean cylinder remained unchanged from -1.0 ± 0.6 (0 to – 3.5) to -0.9 ± 0.6 (0 to -2.75) postop. (p < 0.21). PCO value was 0.199 ± 0.05, that means minimal incidence of PCO * Purpose: To evaluate the properties and clinical outcomes after implantation the new hydrophobic intraocular lens CT LUCIA 601 in patients undergoing routine cataract surgery. * ZEISS IOL CT LUCIA 601P(Y) preloaded allows smooth sterile uncomplicated implantation in all patients. Figure1. Familiar C-loop design CT LUCIA 601P(Y) Introduction CT LUCIA 601P(Y) - aspheric monofocal IOL * Featuring a 360-degree, square-edge design for low PCO rates, ZEISS CT LUCIA is made with ultra-high purity hydrophobic acrylic and a proprietary cryo-lathing process – with no glistenings. * With a 2.0 mm injector tip and heparin coating on the IOL surface, ZEISS CT LUCIA can be implanted through small incisions with smooth unfolding into the capsular bag – without the haptics sticking to the optic. * ZEISS CT LUCIA is available as both a clear UV-blocking and a yellow blue-light filtering IOL. Figure 2. Fully preloaded disposable injection system Methods and Materials 38 patients, 43 eyes, mean age 70.6 ± 7.5 years, 27 women, 11 males. Torsional phaco, one surgeon (P.R.), preloaded IOL implanted through 2.2 mm incision. Patients were evaluated at 4 months after surgery. UCVA (uncorrected visual acuity), (BCVA (best corrected visual acuity), refraction and PCO (Posterior capsule opacification) as main parameters in follow-up. Conclusions * The new hydrophobic intraocular lens CT LUCIA 601 P(Y) could be easily implanted and after surgery shows a high degree of biocompatibility in patients undergoing routine cataract surgery. * Easy handling, glistening free material, excellent optical quality with high patients satisfaction makes it favorite lens. * IOL CT LUCIA 601P presents significant advancement in the area of IOLs.
