Back to School! Mitch Weaver

Hello Parents! Super excited to be here!

About Me Born in Port of Spain, Trinidad Raised in Miami, FL Joined USAF at 20…served from 2000 – 2006 (Computer Programmer) In Texas since 2000; in DFW since 2006 Worked as a professional software engineer for last 16 years I have a wife and two kids…boy and girl (7 and 4) Hobbies: Programming, Video Games, Inline Skating, Writing

Past Career Education is my second career. Software Engineer with over 16 years of experience Web Development (Full-Stack) Favorite programming languages: JavaScript, C# Some ask me, “Why become a teacher?” The answer is simple. I thoroughly enjoy sharing knowledge and helping students become more curious about the world.

Computer Science Computer Science classes offer students the opportunity to study various technologies that empower our world today. It is impossible to know “everything” about technology. We are always learning and evolving. I learn from my students as much as they learn from me. While technology varies, it is all driven by universal concepts, concepts that we will be covering in class.

Behavior Management Proactive and not reactive Respect yourself, the teachers, and others. Be prepared for class every day. Keep your devices charged! Pay attention and participate. Raise hand to ask questions. Be on time. If you have to wonder if a behavior is allowed, it’s probably not! 
