Jobs transform lives

Jobs transform lives, which is why we are building the best recruitment industry in the world. UK recruiters find permanent jobs for more than 634,000 people each year. Each individual consultant working in temp/contract recruitment helps 32 people find work every day.

Recruiters have the knowledge and expertise to create opportunities for success for people, businesses and the economy. The recruitment industry is worth £31.5 billion per year to the UK economy. Our industry employs more than 103,000 people and will create another 25,500 jobs in the next three years.

The recruitment industry serves 2 The recruitment industry serves 2.3 million companies worldwide every year. Finding the right people isn’t easy. Recruiters are here to help, because good people transform businesses. 95% of organisations make bad hires every year. 29% of organisations with 250+ employees have difficulties retaining staff.

Recruiters empower businesses to find the people they need. A third of businesses in the UK do not think they have the talent they need to achieve their current business objectives. In the UK, 79% of employers say the biggest challenge to their ability to recruit staff over the next 12 months will be a shortage of suitable applicants.

We recognise your challenges and we are here to help and provide solutions. The top three priorities for candidates when looking for work are: salary and benefits, the type of work, and work-life balance. Work-life balance/flexible working is considered the most important priority by 23% of candidates.

Recruiters are your brand ambassadors. “After one particularly stressful week I went home determined to find something better for myself. I uploaded my CV to a handful of websites and within two to three days I had a phone call from a recruiter called Samantha who said she had seen my CV and had a job she thought I’d be perfect for. “I felt like there should be a catch, but all she wanted me to do was go to their office so she could have an informal discussion with me. She even stayed late so she could meet me after work. “She went through the role and the pros and cons of the new job – a good pay rise, but without as much room for progression as there would be in other jobs. I felt she had my best interests at heart.” Aimee Scott, candidate Recruiters are your brand ambassadors.

We help employers through the process of finding the right talent. 75% of recruiters say an organisation’s employer brand has a significant impact on hiring. We help employers through the process of finding the right talent. 35% of candidates talk to family or friends about the job application processes they had been through, and 24% discuss this with their professional contacts, meaning the consequences of a bad candidate experience can be significant.

Recruiters and employers have the opportunity to change lives. 77% of people say choosing 'what to do as a job' is an important life decision. Asked about what their current job has enabled them to do in life, employed respondents said they had been able to ‘make new friends’ (43%), ‘develop their skillset’ (42%), and ‘work flexible hours’ (39%). 59% of UK employees plan to change jobs in the next 12 months, and 75% are looking to move within the next two years. Recruiters and employers have the opportunity to change lives.
