Behaviour Good to be green

You do this by behaving in a way expected in school. GOOd to be green 1. Every classroom = ‘Good to be Green’ chart. 2. Every child = good to be green card The aim To keep your card green! You do this by behaving in a way expected in school.

Consequences… Warning 1: Verbal warning Warning 2: Name on the board Warning 3: Two minutes next door Warning 4: Red Card

To get an instant red card it must: be seen/heard by an adult Consequences… Instant red card: 1. Verbally being unkind to another child 2. Physically hurting another child 3. Swearing 4. Saying something horrible about the way someone looks (homophobic language) 5. Racism To get an instant red card it must: be seen/heard by an adult or If you admit to doing one of the above and an adult has investigated it.

Rewards… the exciting part! If you have stayed green all week: 1. On Friday every class will have a raffle draw where you can win a privilege card. X2 privilege cards in raffle per week X3 privilege cards ‘outstanding’ example of behaviour per week

Rewards… - If you have been green all half term you will go into a the school prize draw held in a special worship: 3 x KS1 children 3 x KS2 children WHSmith voucher, to be spent on anything you would like! You will all also get a certificate if you have been green all half term.

A Day in the life 8.45am – Arrive 9.00am – Register/Days of the week etc 9.30am – 11.30am – Busy Bee Learning (inside and outside) Child choice Adult led activities – Literacy and Maths 11.45am – Lunch 12.45pm – Afternoon begins 12.50pm – Register 1.00pm – 2.30pm – Busy Bee Learning (inside and outside) Child Choice Adult Led – Other Subjects 2.35pm – Story/Singing/Reflection time/Hometime prayer 3.00pm – Get ready for home 3.10pm - Hometime

Early Learning Goal We plan to help children work towards these goals. Progress is recorded in children’s individual learning journey. End of Reception Expected Exceeded Emerging

Assessment requirements On Entry assessment EYFS Profile – end of Reception

Assessment Observe progress during adult led and child choice activities. Record what and how they learn Next steps are planned Assess each child's progress during Reception Judge attainment at the end of Reception Parents evenings to talk about progress Report at end of year about each child’s achievement and characteristics of effective learning.

Assessment at home Write down what your child says and does on a postit note. Send in photographs or examples of activities done at home Send in certificates/trophies of Achievements etc Telling Reception staff Proud clouds
