What IS Compost Anyway?

Tasty apples hanging on a tree

The apples are picked by workers and taken to the grocery store by big trucks!

When your Mom goes to the grocery store she may buy some apples to take home

You leave for school with your apple for lunch

After you eat your apple be sure to place it in the compost container

The garbage man comes and picks up all the apple cores from your school along with other items

The garbage man takes all the apples cores to a place where they are turned into compost

People come to get some compost to put on their gardens

Compost can be used to grow a new baby apple tree which will someday grow tall and make its own apples

And that’s how compost is made !
