Does anyone use these websites? Ask the children who uses which websites and what do they use the websites for?

What do you watch on your devices?

What might be the dangers of watching videos online? Discuss with the children how videos do not always show what the title of the video is. Often videos follow the video you were watching and they might be scary. Sometimes people play with videos and will put something scary in the middle of it.

Let’s do a quiz… Question 1: What should you do before you watch something online? Brush your teeth Find the video you want Ask a grown up D. Go up to your bedroom C

Let’s do a quiz… Question 2: Who should you ask for help if you’re worried about something you’ve seen online? A friend Any adult that you trust An older brother or sister D. A teacher All 3 but make sure they help – if not ask someone else.

Let’s do a quiz… Question 3: Your friend tells you they’ve been upset by something they saw on the internet. What should you do? Check the video yourself Laugh at them D. Report it to an adult you both trust. D

Your Task Can you design a poster to explain the two rules about watching videos online? The best ones will be used for an Internet Safety Display! Rules: Check with an adult before you watch anything online. Tell an adult if something scares you. I can provide templates of iPads for them to draw on.
