Finney County 25th Judicial District Community Correction Services Center Election Tuesday, March 4th, 2014

Proposed Building Site Adjacent to Juvenile Detention Center (JDC) 507 W. Santa Fe. Property is already owned by Finney County Co-location of all community based Intensive Supervision/Probation and Case Management Services. All treatment services would also be located at the same facility.

Proposed Building Site Correction Services Center

Financing the Project NOT a tax increase, will commence following the expiration of current ¼ cent sales tax expected to occur in July 2014. It uses retail sales tax of ¼ cent county wide to pay for the Bonds. NOT a property tax! Issuance of Bonds not to exceed the amount of $6,625,000. Interest rates at near record lows offering excellent opportunity for financing the project. Paid for through sales tax and burden shared by all who shop in area, not just Finney County residents. A continuation of an already existing sales tax.

Benefits of New Building Secure Juvenile Intake Facility and Law Enforcement drop off point. Central location of Drug & Alcohol and program services provided to both adults and juveniles. Teamwork and collaboration between agencies in providing supervision to offenders placed on probation. Promote greater community, law enforcement & social service agency access. Enhanced collaborative training where possible & appropriate.
