For the purposes of reward/incentive programs, perfect attendance requires a student be present 100% of the day (have no late arrivals or no early dismissals). On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday a student will not be allowed to check out after 1:30. On Wednesday a student will not be allowed to check out after 1:00.

Changes of Transportation Whether it is a temporary or permanent change, students must have a note to change how they will depart from school if it is different from how they normally get home in the afternoon.

Homework Homework assignments for the week will be located on the weekly newsletter sent home every Monday. Homework will be given on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights. Please check your child’s homework for correctness. Please remember to send it back to school the next day. Please sign your child’s planner nightly. Any additional homework will be written in your child’s planner. If a student does not turn in homework each day or if their planner isn’t signed each day they will not be eligible for SuperKids or Party with the Principal!! Planners CAN’T BE SIGNED AHEAD OF TIME!

Classroom Management During the first few days of school we discussed ways to handle different situations and promote positive behavior.  Students will be held responsible for their own behavior.  We have thoroughly gone over our classroom rules, and it has been made clear what I expect from the students.   All students will have a pocket on a chart with colored cards ( green, yellow, orange, red, and blue.)  All students begin each day with a green card.  Yesterday's mistakes are in the past.  If a child has continuous misbehavior they will be asked to “flip their card."  Every afternoon your child's planner will be marked to show what color he or she was on at  the end of the day. Each child is responsible for writing why they had to flip their card.   Classroom Rules 1. Listen carefully. 2.  Follow directions. 3. Work quietly. Do not disturb others that are working. 4.  Respect others. 5.  Respect school and personal property. Work and play safely. Be prepared. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.

PRIDE – GREEN TICKETS PBIS STORE (POSITIVE BEHAVIOR INCENTIVE SYSTEM) STUDENTS THAT ARE CAUGHT POSSESSING GOOD PIRATE BEHAVIOR WILL BE AWARDED GREEN TICKETS. AT THE END OF THE MONTH THEY CAN TRADE THEIR TICKETS IN TO THE PBIS STORE FOR MERCHANDISE.
