Tigers By: Arya

Introduction To The Tiger Some people think of Tigers as wild and ferocious creatures. Actually, they’re not, they’re very calm. Some tigers turn into Man-Eating Tigers. Tiger’s are going extinct for their fur. Poachers hunt tigers to collect the patterned fur, and their habitat is being destroyed, to make certain brands of toilet paper, which is why tigers are endangered. The Caspian Tiger is already extinct. Please continue reading to learn about the Tiger’s Physical Description, Habitat, Diet, and Life Cycle.

The Tiger’s Physical Description The Tiger’s body is very muscular. They have large, sharp, and deadly teeth. The pattern of the Tiger is orange and black striped. All tigers have a different pattern. Their height is 3 ft. – 5 ft. both female and male. A male’s weight is about 500 lb. A female Tigers weight is about 400 lb. Tiger’s teeth are extremely sharp. A Tiger’s tooth is 10 times bigger than a tooth in your mouth. The Tiger’s claws are also incredibly sharp. A Tiger could severally wound one deer only using between 10 and 15 scratches. Please continue reading to find out about the Tiger’s Habitat, Diet, and Life Cycle.

The Tiger’s Habitat Tigers used to live over the frozen north, roam the damp jungles of the south, and climb the jagged mountains of central Asia and some parts of china. The most common Tiger (The Bengal Tiger) lives in India. Humans have not forced tigers to live in another habitat. The habitat is grassy and flat. The tiger’s habitat is disappearing, because of selfish people creating toilet paper. The trees in their habitat take about 1,000 years to grow. That’s a reason humans should stop chopping down those trees to make them into toilet paper. Please continue reading about the tiger’s diet and life cycle.

The Tiger’s Diet Tigers are omnivores. They eat anything from grass and dirt to humongous elephants. They munch on deer, antelope, baby rhinos, wild pigs, frogs, turtles, porcupines, monkeys, peacocks, buffalo, dirt, grass, and elephants. They usually chew on deer. Tigers go looking for food at night. Tigers can catch prey so large, that it lasts them for a few days. Tigers don’t have any predators, except for humans. Humans hunt Tigers for their fur. Tiger’s diet hasn’t change over time. Please continue reading to learn about the Tiger’s Life Cycle.

The Tiger’s Life Cycle Baby Tigers (cubs) are born live. It goes from Baby to Juvenile to Adult. Cubs don’t change in color as they grow. They only adjust in size. Their diet doesn’t change. A cub’s behavior changes as it grows up. When it’s a cub a tiger fake fights with its brothers and sisters. When it’s older it becomes more protective and territorial. After the cub stage is over, they go off on their own. When tigers are older, their voice is lower than when they were younger. It usually takes 20 years for a tiger to die.
