The Periosteal Bud invades the Internal Cavities & Spongy Bone forms = Primary Ossification Center Periosteal Bud = Nutrient Artery & Vein, Lymphatic Vessel, nerve, osteoblasts & osteoclasts Osteoclasts erode calcified matrix; Osteoblasts secret osteoid on matrix fragments = Early Spongy Bone
