Problems with Existing Solutions Emergency Kit: Based on USDA regulations, average human should consume minimum 1800-2000 calories a day. The emergency kit provides one 2400 calorie food bar for three days which is not even enough for an active adult for a day. Those kits do not provide basic needs for people with children. Emergency kits are usually focused on active survival rather than prolonged stay. Food Bank: It is mostly focused on bringing food. Distribution might be hard to maintain.
