Presentation transcript:

Future of EUROnu + Do we want to continue? + How? + Strongly related to decisions for/of Strategy Review + Simpler if choice for future is made!

In FP7 Design Study: → Construction of New Infrastructure - Preparatory Phase (CNI-PP) → Construction of New Infrastructure - Implementation Phase (CNI-IP) ILC: - EUROTeV - ILC-HiGrad With choice for the future made, same possible for us Aim: produce a proposal in 2017 But…….

In Horizon 2020 Looks like CNI-PP will continue First calls not until end 2013/beginning 2014! If no choice/alternatives: - Design Studies - Integrating Activities: for SB and/or BB? - Reinforcing European research infrastructure policy and international cooperation 4.3.2. Facilitate strategic international cooperation The aim is to facilitate the development of global research infrastructures i.e. research infrastructures that require funding and agreements on a global scale. The aim is also to facilitate the cooperation of European research infrastructures with their non-European counterparts, ensuring their global interoperability and reach, and to pursue international agreements on the reciprocal use, openness or co-financing of infrastructures. In this respect due account will be taken of the recommendations of the Carnegie Group of Senior Officials on Global Research Infrastructures. Attention will also be given to ensure adequate Union participation in coordination with international bodies such as the UN or the OECD.

Conclusions If we wish to continue, there are ways forward in Horizon 2020 Will need to bridge gap between August 2012 and 2014 Strong recommendation from SR will be very helpful! Input to SR is very important Comments……….
