WHY ??? In today’s tracing and cyber tracking environment we cannot effectively locate people, assets and collateral without a thorough knowledge of the available technology tools and trends. This ever changing technology includes, but is not limited to, knowledge of computers, communication equipment, sources of data and the laws which protect electronic data. It is also imperative that a 21st century tracer understand the value of verbal communication techniques and the power of Neurolinguistic Programming.

SKIPTRACER versus CYBERTRACKER? A hunter of people or assets who has the ability to track through electronic sources, analyze data and exclude that which does not match the tracking pattern of the person or asset they are searching for and the ability to search 24/7/365 without communicating with any real person. The professional tracer must also possess communication skills and have the ability to extract information through the use of Neurolinguistic programming techniques

#1 TOOL OF A SKIPTRACER-CYBERTRACKER The Human Mind Ability to “REASON” Ability to understand “WHY” Ability to “COUNTERMOVE” Ability to “USE ALL ABILITIES”

DEVELOPING THE TRACER PERSONNAE Name Attitude The main thing to remember… “THEY DON’T OWE YOU ANYTHING”

To Go Forward…Go Backwards A professional tracer must have a starting point, a point where, without a doubt, the consumer being traced was present at a given time. The tracer must go back to that point to begin their search and follow the spoor forward to be effective. Original Documents…a starting point Location of last contact…a starting point Location of last payment…a starting point LKA/LKE…a starting point

GAINING THE INFORMANTS CONFIDENCE How to ask questions and get answers How to use information obtained Proper follow up techniques

ASKING QUESTIONS Closed End Questions which must be answered YES or NO Double Negatives and Double Positives Open End Questions Reflective Questions Date/Time/Place Questions

TRICKS OF THE TRADE… Post Office Apartment Complexes Employers Neighbors Friends

NLP NEUROLINGUISTIC PROGRAMMING Understanding and using 5 of the most powerful words in the tracers vocabulary NO. WHY? BECAUSE… HELP! REALLY . ? … !

ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS USE YOUR INSTINCTS AND ABILITIES TO SPOT THE RED FLAGS OF FRAUD & DECEPTION Documents…BLOCK PRINT/ALL CAPS bring their own pens with BOLD TIPS and BLACK INK All spaces are filled in…every single one Residence Phone Number is the same as Employment Phone Number All relatives live at the same residence with the same phone number Phone numbers are all cell throwaway burn phones All references are co-workers Names do not match SSN issuing states or dates ID appears to have been altered Past geographical or demographical data does not match

OPENING A CALL Identify the person being called Identify Yourself State the purpose of the call Ask for Information Answering Questions
