Our Majestic 6th Grade Adventure Aleah Conely and Nicole Becerra 

Science Engineering! Aleah’s Egg Drop Excitement Nicole’s Zombie Apocalypse In this activity we made a mechanism that would protect and egg dropped on the ground from 3 meters. I liked doing the egg drop because we were able to be creative and work with our friends. In this activity we had to create a machine that could pick up balls by itself in a zombie apocalypse. It as so much fun to prepare! We had a super cool and creative mascot and the fact that we won made it all worthwhile.

Science! Aleah Enjoyed Chemistry Nicole Liked Volcanoes I enjoyed chemistry because we got to use microscopes like real scientists. I think it was super cool to know the different types of volcanoes and know how powerful they are.

Language Arts! Aleah Liked Lit Circles Nicole Enjoyed the Government Research I like doing lit circles because I got to read a new book. Also we got to pick out books and now I want to read the whole series! It was cool to learn about famous government people who made a difference in the world.

Math! Aleah Enjoyed Riddles Nicole Also Liked Riddles I enjoyed riddles because they weren’t serious and we got them as a reward. It makes you think and once you realize the answer it is really funny.

Social Studies! Aleah Liked Market Day Nicole Also Enjoyed Market Day I enjoyed market day because we got to use our imagination. We also got to buy and sell products. It was exciting to make a product and use “money” and learn about marketing and budgets.

Exploratories! Aleah Enjoyed Art Nicole Liked Choir I liked doing the symmetry painting because it had so many interesting layers. I like to sing and even though the dance moves were cheesy, they were fun. I really like the Variety Show where I not only got to sing with the 6th grade choir but I got to perform with the Harry Potter Pals.

Band!! Aleah Plays the Clarinet in Concert Band Nicole Plays the Clarinet in Band and Saxophone in Jazz Band I play the clarinet. I am in my second year and I enjoy making music. My saxophone’s name is Bundy and my clarinet’s name is Fernando. I have a lot of fun in band!

Shedd Aquarium! Nicole’s POV On Shedd Trip Aleah’s POV On Shedd Trip I liked going to the shedd trip because we got to leave school and relax and see fish. I liked the Shedd trip because it was a lot of fun and we got to visit Chicago and see all the different sea animals.

Personal Slide! All About Aleah All About Nicole We go on a annual camping trip with my family. We’ve been doing it for five years. My favorite thing about it is going tubing because I have a lot a fun with it. I’ve been playing piano since I was six and I started taekwondo a year ago. I really enjoy these activities and I have improved this year.
