KTH research platforms Energy Technologies and systems supporting sustainable global energy systems. Information and Communication Technology Focuses on fields such as microelectronics, nanotechnology, photonics and wireless sensor networks. Energy Energy research and education at KTH aims to expand the frontiers of knowledge in pursuit of technologies and systems supporting sustainable global energy systems. This ranges from innovative smart electric grids to more efficient electric vehicle batteries and commercially viable alternative energy systems. Information and Communication Technology ICT has emerged as a key driver of global economic growth, creating new applications in health care, intelligent infrastructure, smart homes and sustainable energy.
