Convergence with schemes like MOFPI, APEDA, RKVY, etc, Capacity building through training & demonstration of improved technologies, certification etc.

Ensuring availability of quality planting material in NE & Himalayan Region Area expansion linked to availability of quality planting material through accrediated nurseries. Establishment of modern nurseries mother blocks/ rootstock blocks with hi-tech nurseries & tissue culture units.

Production of 20 000 Rough lemon rootstock for budding Rootstock production Production of 20 000 Rough lemon rootstock for budding

High prevalence of senile orchards Lower productivity and poor quality of produce from senile orchards Promotion of high density/ ultra high density planting systems in potential crops. Rejuvenation package for declining orchards of citrus in NE region and apple in J&K.

Eco-friendly management of ginger soft rot Healthy ginger seed Hot Water Treatment@47° C (HWT) for 30 min & Shade drying Cabriotop (Strobilurin) treatment @0.2% for 30 min Rhizome smearing (25% garlic extract) Trichoderma harzianum soil application (2.5 kg/ 50k gFYM/ ha) Healthy ginger cultivation (disease control upto 90%)

Megha/ Lakhadong- High curcumin content

Improved farm level turmeric boiling unit Capacity : About 200 kg per batch / 40 quintals per day Fuel requirement : 25–30 kg per batch of 200 kg. Three persons are required No skilled labour is required The unit can be fabricated to any capacity Cost of the unit: App. Rs.15,000
