What Do You Use the Internet For? watching TV shows playing games watching videos finding things out learning at home The Internet can be loads of fun!

But… Who do you think owns the Internet? Who do you think decides what can be put on to it? Click to edit text – body size 18 - minimum size 16 (only to be used if really needed) No one owns the Internet. No one decides what can be put on. The Internet can be used by anyone. Anyone can add things to it!

How to Stay Safe on the Internet Always ask a grown-up before you go onto the Internet. Grown-ups can help you to use the Internet safely. Click to edit text – body size 18 - minimum size 16 (only to be used if really needed)

How to Stay Safe on the Internet Always check with a grown-up if you want to try out a new website. Remember, anyone can add things to the internet and not everything is suitable for children. Grown-ups can help you to find a website that is fun and safe for children.

How to Stay Safe on the Internet Sometimes, things can pop up on your screen that you aren’t expecting. If this happens, you should always show them to a grown-up. Usually they are harmless but it is always best to show a grown-up and they can help you to decide what to do next. Never click on things that don’t look like they should be there.

How to Stay Safe on the Internet If a stranger came up to you in the street, talked to you and asked you to go with them because they had something really good to show you, would you go? You wouldn’t talk to a stranger if you met them in the real world. This is the same on the Internet. Never tell people on the Internet your name or where you live. Just like in the real world, the Internet has both nice and nasty people using it. It is not always easy to tell them apart. If anyone tries to contact you when you are using the Internet, you should tell a grown-up.

Stay Safe Online So how can we use the Internet for all the fun things but still stay safe? Always tell a grown-up when you are using the Internet and let them help you to choose safe websites. ! Always tell a grown-up if something you are not expecting comes onto your screen. ! Always tell a grown-up if someone tries to contact you on the Internet. !
