In its infancy Appaws was a 1 person, very small organization. We very quickly started to be noticed out in the community. We finally became fairly recognized and obtained our charitable status late in 2015. Company status was established May 2015. In October 2016 we were awarded Scottish Charity of the year 2016/17 by Burns Pet Nutrition. Registered Scottish Charity Company Ltd By Guarantee Community Organization From A - B

Our Trainers & The Animal Behavior Centre. Our Trainers are based in Manchester. They are both highly experienced. Have great work ethics. Both Dave and Tina are Kennel Club Accredited Instructors (KCAI Companion Dog Advanced Level, KCGCDS Advanced Level), both David and Tina are Regional Mentors for the KCAI scheme and their areas cover the North West, the Midlands and Wales, both are qualified Canine Behaviourists and Associate Members of The Animal Care College and members of the Professional Association of Advanced Canine Trainers. Tina is also a canine psychologist member of The Academy of Dog Trainers and Behaviourists and an Associate Member of The British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers, having achieved Grades 1 & 2, both with honours and obtaining the Len Pierce Award. Both are Kennel Club judges, show stewards and officials for Nantwich and District Canine Society, David is the Deputy Chair man for the society. The ABC was formed in October 2005. The ABC takes any breed of dog. The emphasis is on ‘pet- dog’ training with help and direction in specialist training as required. In 2006 the ABC became affiliated to the Kennel Club, and was then able to run Kennel Club events in the area. One of the interests was to train for ‘pet obedience’. However there were influential trainers and members who were interested in The Kennel Club Good Citizens Awards, clicker training, agility, showing, gun dog work and tricks to name but a few of the sessions, and so some training was given for this.

Some of the People & Services we work alongside with & a few we Happily Promote.
