Children’s Ministry Nursery Workers Policy Curriculum Supplies Pre-K 2-5 6-8

Policies & Procedures Workers Safety Bathroom Discipline Cleanliness Commitment: 1Month, arrive on time, set-up, clean-up, dismiss last kid Schedule: Workers Scheduled 1 month, Any changes worked through leaders Training: Leadership, Resources, Q&A Workers EMERGENCY: Call 911 & notify Elders (Nurse?) SERIOUS: Notify Elders & Parents (Nurse?) CONCERN: Notify Parents of concern *Access to First Aid Kit Safety No Adults in bathrooms with children Only a female helper or child’s parent if child needs bathroom help If needed contact a co-leader to help or have a child get a bathroom buddy Bathroom Green- Everyone starts out in Green & Green includes 1st warning Yellow- Child gets 2nd Warning and Time-Out Red- Child has become a distraction to class & parent needs to be notified Discipline Room, furniture, toys, trashes & Bathrooms Workers- wash hands before ministry, snack & after bathroom Kids- wash hands before snack & after bathroom Cleanliness Parents should wait 24 hours after fever, vomiting or diarrhea has stopped If child is obviously sick in service ask parent to keep child with them If a worker is sick during service then they should notify leader for help Illness If a worker is going to be absent they should contact Leader ASAP They will swap/trade days with a replacement worker If a child is absent workers should attempt to contact parents just to check up Absent
