EOPS Mission EOPS is a state-funded student service program that promotes academic excellence among students from low-income, underrepresented backgrounds in higher education. The following policies outline what EOPS expects of you and what you can expect of EOPS when engaging its services.

Appealing for readmission Policy Students dismissed from EOPS due to back-to-back semesters of non-compliance must submit a written request for readmission. (You cannot appeal limited services status.) Procedure Review appeals process with EOPS staff After being dismissed from EOPS, complete 6 units with term GPA of 2.0 or better semester Submit written appeal with supporting documents Submit EOPS application Add move from good standing to limited services.

Academic Progress Report (APR) Policy Student must meet with ALL instructors during office hours to obtain instructor feedback for ALL enrolled classes. Must show comments– letter and/or grade Procedure Download APR at EOPS website (see forms tab) Make appointment with instructor Submit APR to EOPS Office by March 10, 2017, 1:00pm

Discontinuing EOPS partnership Voluntarily withdraw Earn 70 degree-applicable units Complete 6 consecutive semesters (summers excluded) Dishonor MRC two (2) consecutive semesters

Re-establishing positive academic progress Policy Students earning Ds or Fs at APR deadline must meet with EOPS counselor or staff no later than two weeks after the APR deadline to devise a strategic plan Procedure Develop strategic plan with EOPS counselor Meet counselor/staff, at least, 2 days before semester drop deadline

Requesting a time/unit limit waiver Policy Full-service students with “high unit majors” as defined by California Community College Chancellor’s Office may petition to extend their eligibility for EOPS services for up to 2 semesters. Procedure Meet counselor to determine program eligibility Before start of each semester, submit Time/Unit Limit Waiver to EOPS director for approval

Transferring to another EOPS Policy LMC EOPS supports student transfers to other EOPS programs, but it cannot guarantee admission. Procedure Request LMC EOPS to send EOPS Transfer Request to EOPS program of selected college EOPS sends record of student’s program history, transcript, and current status to selected college

OBTAINING a parking permit Policy Limited-service and appeal students are ineligible for this service. One (1) permit per EOPS student Citing begins Monday, 1/30/17 Request permit before leaving during today’s Information Session
